My mom & had a thrifting date today! We planned on leaving at 8:15 am to head to Galesburg, IL. I won't tell you if this pictured time was when I was getting ready or when I finally woke up...
Left: Car trip reading material. The car ride to Galesburg is about 45 mins from home. Next month's issue of Seventeen features a top I blogged about back in Sept 2012. I'm glad to see I'm more than on top of things.
We do most of our shopping on Henderson St in Galesburg!
I was actually feeling very overwhelmed in this photo... I was finding too many items I wanted to buy.
I was NOT supposed to be looking at clothes, but this particular store gets all the overstock from Target. I love Target clothes. I found and tried on the left dress first, but I could barely get my hips in... let alone a baby belly in the next month or so. So I upped a size, pictured right.
I found three more Target skirts that I wasn't supposed to be looking for...
This large, almost-didn't-all-fit bag was the harsh reminder that I strayed from my list... as was the price total.
Findings from the second stop.
The above photos show our secret honey hole! The Purple Hanger is a little farther out of the way from Henderson, and the treasures you find there can be few and far between.. but when you find, you hit the jackpot!
My shopping basket from The Purple Hanger.
At home. Here are a few of the findings from today! I love the trips with my mom, we both love to take our time & we love to thrift!
